Confirm adjustments
The landlord may create financial corrections — deposit offset against rent, discount for renovation noise, debt write-off, advance payment credit. These are called adjustments. Your job: review the details and confirm on your side. Both parties must agree.
Types of adjustments
Corrections from the utility company — recalculation of electricity, water, gas. Linked to a specific expense type. Affects the "Utilities" section of your balance.
Direct financial corrections between you and the landlord — deposit offset, rent discount, debt forgiveness, advance payment. Affects the "Rent" section of your balance.
Common examples
- Security deposit offset against final month's rent (negative = you owe less)
- Rent discount during renovation or agreed reduction
- Utility recalculation — the provider corrected the bill
- Advance payment credit — you paid ahead, the credit covers future charges
- Compensation for inconvenience — no hot water, broken heating, etc.
How to confirm
When the landlord creates an adjustment, the system sends you an email. You also see it on the Adjustments page.
Open the adjustment to see: date, amount (positive = you owe more, negative = you get credit), currency, and the landlord's description of why.
If you agree — click Confirm. If you disagree — reject and explain why. The adjustment only takes effect when both sides confirm.
How to read an adjustment
Why bilateral confirmation
The landlord can't change your balance without your agreement. You see every correction before it takes effect. No surprises.
Once both sides confirm, the adjustment is locked. Neither side can change it. It becomes a permanent entry in the reconciliation statement.
